Font - Context: two weeks ago, i was enjoying a restaurant meal with three friends. Everything went well until a mom and her two hellspawns sat on the exterior of the restaurant leaving her two banshees running and shrieking. I first got up and asked kindly if she could call them because we are kinda trying to enjoy a meal without having her two hellspawns running and shrieking.

Font - To which i have been met with a "deal with that" Less than 5 minutes later, both fell face flat on the ground of the street, crying. She finally got up and gave me dirty look thinking i tripped them on purpose. To which i said "deal with it. They had it coming by not looking where they go"

Font - SadLaw6 2 days ago When my oldest 2 were younger they started acting up every time we went into a restaurant and I had enough. So I went one night knowing I wasn't going to be eating there but acted like everything was normal and we sat down and ordered drinks.

Font - Sure enough they started up with the antics so I calmly got up, left cash on the table for tip and drinks, walked their horrified and tearful assess out the door and went home and had pb and j for dinner with an early bedtime. Problem solved.

Font - CheckIntelligent7828 +2. 2 days ago I remember my mom leaving a full cart of groceries once because I wouldn't mellow and was being a full scale brat. It used to be pretty common that you didn't appease your kids, you removed them from the situation. Unfortunately it seems to be almost the polar opposite now.

Font - PR MediocreElk3 - 2 days ago I know it was different times and you can't do this now, but when we acted up in stores, we were sent to go out and sit in the car. No cell phones back then, couldn't turn on the radio, just sitting in the hot/cold car doing nothing until mom was done. Didn't up act more than a couple of times, before we learned to act appropriately in public.

Font - krystal422 2 days ago ● Again, long time ago, but I was acting up in a restaurant. Mom marched me out to the car and said "Don't touch a single thing or I'll break every single one of your fingers. And trust me, I'll know". Then went back in the restaurant and ordered ice cream for my brother and sister for dessert. I knew mom wasn't a finger-breaker, but also, could she be?

My mom said if we didn't calm down, she'd get up on the table and do the Watusi. We didn't believe her and started acting worse.

Font - She threw down her napkin and stood on her chair, then lifted one foot like she was gonna put it on the table. OMG, "We're sorry, Mommy, we'll be good," all the while crying, begging, and pleading with her to please sit down. My dad was laughing his ass off the whole time. We were so well behaved the rest of the trip. Mom had the best creative threats.

Font - +2 . 1 day ago I don't know about OP, but I may or may not have put my foot or knee in the path of a rampaging hellspawn a few times over the years. Nothing blatant, of course, and keeping a neutral expression is critical. The_Sanch1128

Font - Jorizzy ironicmirror 2 days ago Yep, you as a parent need to be willing to sacrifice your meal to teach your kids a lesson. Fortunately you only have to do this once or twice before they catch on. But it says a lot when the kids are screaming, bad parenting.

Font - Knitsanity +3 • 2 days ago When mine were younger we ate out at a diner a lot. ONCE for each kid.....they threw a tantrum and their dad scooped them up in a football hold, asked me to box up his food, and marched them out to the car. Only had to do it once. Lol.
